World’s First National FootGolf Centre for Doncaster

The UK’s fastest growing sport continues its relentless expansion with the launch of the UK National FootGolf Centre at High Melton, Doncaster on Friday 11th July 2014.

The purpose built National FootGolf Centre, the first of its kind anywhere in the World, is being opened in partnership with Doncaster College and will play host to FootGolf’s National Governing Body official headquarters.

The state of the art facilities include a full 18 hole championship standard FootGolf course, teaching rooms, fully serviced offices, bar and catering facilities, function rooms and even the world’s only dedicated FootGolf merchandise store.

Mike O’Connor, UK FootGolf President said, “We are extremely proud to be launching the National FootGolf Centre at High Melton which will lead the way in developing the sport, not just in the UK but throughout the World.

“We have already received hundreds of requests from players across the globe wanting to come and experience the beautiful facilities. The centre will now allow us to successfully move onto the next stage of the sport’s development in a venue fitting for a National HQ.

“Our thanks must go to Doncaster College for having such faith in the sport and supporting the project so enthusiastically.  Both partners are now looking forward to creating sporting history together. “

The National FootGolf Centre is located on the beautiful grounds of the High Melton College campus and will be open to the public 7 days per week. After more than 6 years of lying dormant the testing parkland style course has undergone a complete make-over and now benefits from stunning views over the Dearne Valley and beyond.

Members of the public are being invited to come along and get involved with some amazing opening weekend offers including ‘FootGolf for a Pound’, which will allow players a bargain full 18 holes of FootGolf for anyone interested in trying the sport.

The course will also be hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday 13th July where families can come along and experience a whole host of entertainment whilst also getting the chance to try out the course and facilities.
